New understandings and discoveries of life phenomena and incurable diseases at a molecular level have presented novel information and materials needed for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases. By integrating the new discoveries that have so far accumulated in oncogenic signal transduction, angiogenesis, gene expression control, etc. with proteomics, which is being newly established based on the control factors of viral and immune systems and DNA vaccine technologies, and with molecular diversity using combinatorial principle, very powerful therapeutics are currently under development.
